Shreekand

INGREDIENTS:
  • Curd - 500 gms or approx 3 cup.
  • Sugar (powdered) - 100 gms or as require.
  • Saffron strands/kesar - 10
  • 3 - 4 Cardamom/choti elaichi crushed
  • Pistachios - 4 to 5
  • Almonds - 3 to 4
  • Milk - 1 table spoon.
METHOD:
  • In a muslin, cheese cloth pour curd and tie it up and hang for approx 3 to 4 hours. Now, squeeze with hands to strain all the water.
  • Meanwhile you can dip kesar/Saffron strands in milk to dissolve and leave it side.
  • Add the thick hung curd to the blender along with crushed cardamom, saffron milk mixture and sugar.blend till smooth.
  • Now put some chopped almonds and pistachios into it and mix it well.
  • Shreekhand is ready, you can chill this for almost 2 hours in refrigerator and serve to your family.
